Glory started out the week with her end of year Tuesday homeschooling group party....it was an amazing day on many levels. The most amazing part was who Glory is sitting next to in the group photo. A year ago is the the last time she allowed herself to be that close to Joseph. His family has been trying to figure out how to help him deal with certain situations similar to us with Glory.....only with him when overwhelmed he would lash out;and about a year ago he bit Glory. She has ran from him screaming and hiding every time she saw him since. Until this party ... Joseph approached the trampoline Glory was on with a group of friends and Glory started screaming and almost fell off trying to get away. Only this time Joseph said ...'don't run Glory...I'm sorry...I won't hurt you...I'm older now' although she jumped off the trampoline she stopped and thought a minute and declared 'people can change....I'm going to be brave!' She got back on...and they played duck duck goose together with the group...glory didn't scream and Joseph didn't bite. They walked around holding hands the rest of the day and are now the best of friends. <3
Kennedy her therapy foster cat and her continue to bond <3
We also have been continuing to enjoy walking rescue pups for Mamagonna Rescue (more training pics of them further down when we took them to astronomy day at Jake's branch)
Beautiful weather has allowwd many trips on the kayaks and practice with boat safety/exiting/entering etc. Glory takes very good care of her equipment and insists 'I'll do it...its my kayak...I have to learn'
Another thing she has been taking very seriously is trying to learn the monkey bars...she is tough as nails
Getting ready for her special needs dance recital for music and movement has been exciting!! She loves her costume
Glory's new favorite book
And it led to her learning the difference between a dragonfly and a damselfly!! Nothing like hands on learning !! Glory fished two Damselflys out of the lake water in the bottom of the kayak and moved them to a safe place.
We also enjoyed playing with this butterfly ...
it was a beautiful day exploring wellsmills park lake
